Demineralization Plant (DM Plant)

DM plant manufacturers help in the process of demineralization of water by way of removing the impurities and mineral salt from the water. The offered plants have been meticulously designed and are fabricated utilizing finest quality raw materials in combination with highly advanced technology.

Providing Excellence in DM Plant Manufacturing and Services.

The Demineralization Plant (D.M) serves as a reliable solution to meet our requirement for demineralized water, which is essentially devoid of dissolved minerals or nearly so. Demineralization is achieved through the ion exchange process, wherein mineral salts are effectively removed from the water, ensuring its purity and suitability for various applications.

We specialize in doing treatment of all kinds of water and waste water.

We have large number of customers in Delhi, NCR and also in Jharkhand and Ranchi.

SOURCES OF WATER

There are 3 sources of water-

  1. Surface water –Glacier, Sea water, River water, lake water, Pond water ect.
  2. Ground water –Bore water, well water.
  3. Rain water — Water from Rain.

Rain water is the purist of all sources of water. since the water having unique property of absorbing everything on the earth that is why water is called universal solution. As the rain water falls on the earth it will be exposed with several gases present in the atmosphere, after falling on the earth water will be flows through several salts & minerals on the earth. In this way water is getting contaminated.

The following ions are widely found in raw waters:

Cations Anions
Calcium (Ca2+) Chloride ( Cl-)
Magnesium (Mg2+) Bicarbonate (HCO3-)
Sodium (Na+) Nitrate (NO3-)
Potassium (K+) Carbonate (CO32-)

DM plant Manufacturers Process

DM plant manufacturers in Delhi (Hydraulic Aqua) is the process of removing mineral salts from water by using the ion exchange process.

What is D.M (Demineralization) plant?

In power plant water is known as the heart of the plant, so it is most necessary to supply salt free water for process. The (DM Plant) demineralization is the process of removing mineral salts from water by using ion exchange process. The D.M demineralization water reduces the scale formation, Deposition and corrosion of tubes. The implementation of our DM plant brings about several benefits to industrial infrastructure. It enhances the longevity of pipes and tubes within the plant by preventing mineral deposition. Additionally, it effectively eliminates mineral salts, including cations such as sodium, calcium, iron, copper, and anions such as chloride, sulfate, nitrate, among others, which can be detrimental to equipment and processes.

Process of (Demineralization) DM plant Manufacturers

Principle:

Raw water is passed via two small polystyrene bead filled (ion exchange resins) beds. While the cations get exchanged with hydrogen ions in first bed, the anions are exchanged with hydroxyl ions, in the second one.

Process:

In the context of water purification, ion-exchange is a rapid and reversible process in which impurity ions present in the water are replaced by ions released by an ion-exchange resin. The impurity ions are taken up by the resin, which must be periodically regenerated to restore it to the original ionic form. (Anion is an atom or group of atoms with an electric charge. Positively-charged ions are called cations and are usually metals; negatively-charged ions are called anions and are usually non-metals).

Ion Exchange Resins:

There are two basic types of resin.

  1. Cation-exchange resins.
  2. Anion-exchange resins.

Cation exchange resins will release Hydrogen (H+) ions or other positively charged ions in exchange for impurity cations present in the water. Anion exchange resins will release hydroxyl (OH-) ions or other negatively charged ions in exchange for impurity anions present in the water.

There are three ways in which ion-exchange technology can be used in water treatment and purification:

  1. Cation-exchange resins alone can be employed to soften water by base exchange
  2. Anion-exchange resins alone can be used for organic scavenging or nitrate removal.
  3. Combinations of cation-exchange and anion-exchange resins can be used to remove virtually all the ionic impurities present in the feedwater, a process known as deionization. Water deionizers purification process results in water of exceptionally high quality

Mixed-bed Deionization:

In mixed-bed deionizers the cation-exchange and anion-exchange resins are intimately mixed and contained in a single pressure vessel. The thorough mixture of cation-exchangers and anion-exchangers in a single column makes a mixed-bed deionizer equivalent to a lengthy series of two-bed plants. As a result, the water quality obtained from a mixed-bed deionizer is appreciably higher than that produced by a two-bed plant.

Although more efficient in purifying the incoming feed water, mixed-bed plants are more sensitive to impurities in the water supply and involve a more complicated regeneration process. Mixed-bed deionizers are normally used to ‘polish’ the water to higher levels of purity after it has been initially treated by either a two-bed deionizer or a reverse osmosis unit.

Reservoir:-

Reservoir is used for water storage purpose. Water is taken from here for dm water process work.

Unique High Rate Solid Contact Clarifier:-

This clarifier is a high rate, solid contact, sludge re-circulation type clarifier, which is minimum time and space and using a minimum amount of Chemicals, Produces an effluent of the highest quality. it is used principally for clarification, lime softening, silica reduction, or organics reductions of water and waste water containing suspended solids, color and organic impurities. As such, it provides a means for chemical addition and mixing, Flocculation and up flow clarification in a single unit.

Degasser:-

Degasser is an integral part of any DM (demineralization plant), where it is generally placed between cation and anion exchanges and removes Carbon Dioxide, which is generated by dissociation of carbonic acid at cation outlet water. In this Degassing processes, Degasser Tower is utilized, which is made from either FRP or Mild Steel with rubber lined or epoxy coating. Low air pressure is generated at the bottom of the tower that drives out CO2 and the degassed water is collected in a sump beneath the tower.

Electro deionization EDI:

Electrodeionization Systems remove ions from aqueous streams, typically in conjunction with reverse osmosis (RO) and other purification devices. Our high-quality deionization modules continually produce ultrapure water up to 18.2MW/cm. EDI may be run continuously or intermittently

What is a DM Plant?

A DM plant is a specialized water treatment system that uses a process called ion exchange to remove minerals and salts from water. The plant typically consists of several components, including pre-treatment filters, ion exchange columns, and post-treatment filters. The pre-treatment filters remove large particles and impurities from the water, while the ion exchange columns remove dissolved minerals and salts through the use of resin beads. The post-treatment filters then remove any remaining impurities and ensure the water is clean and safe for use.

How does a DM Plant Work?

The primary process used by a DM plant is ion exchange, which is the process of exchanging one ion for another. Ion exchange is the primary process employed by a DM plant, whereby one ion is exchanged with another. Within the DM plant, resin beads charged with cations or anions are contained in the ion exchange columns. As the water flows through the column, the ions in the water are exchanged with the ions on the resin beads, resulting in the removal of minerals and salts from the water. Subsequently, the resin beads, once saturated with the exchanged ions, undergo regeneration using a chemical solution, enabling their reuse for the ion exchange process.

Why is a DM Plant (Demineralization) important?

A DM plant is essential for many industries that rely on water as a primary component in their processes, such as power plants, pharmaceutical companies, and electronics manufacturers. If water with high concentrations of minerals and salts is used in these industries, it can cause equipment to become corroded and malfunction, which can lead to costly repairs and downtime. Additionally, using water that is not demineralized can result in poor-quality products and can even be harmful to human health in some cases.
